Pray for those who are ill, suffering or shut-in:
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servants,  and give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs, that they may be strengthened in their weaknesses and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Amen

Pray for those celebrating birthdays:
O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Amen

Pray for those celebrating anniversaries:
Gracious and everliving God, you have created us male and female in your image: Look mercifully upon those who you have joined in Holy Matrimony, and assist them with your grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love they may honor and keep the promises and vows they have made; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. – Amen

  • For all those in our St. Matthew’s family who are celebrating anniversaries

Pray for those serving our country:
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Amen

Pray for our church and its leaders:
God of all, send your health-giving and strengthening spirit upon our area-wide ministries and those who carry them out that your will may be done within this community and the hungry fed, the naked clothed, and those without shelter and home taken in and nourished. – Amen
